For
years there is a Chinese woman
She
put up her stall on the side road
Shade
by the bushy leaves from the trees
She
trades there for many years
When
the road was tarred with additional car bays
Slowly
others would come to ply their trade
There
is the car trading with used clothes
With
fried dishes on display
Further
down towards the old town
There
is a Malay woman setting up her stall
She
sells nasi lemak and fried noodles
Plying
her trade with a canopy
Now
the latest is the two young Malay women
They
set up a proper stall to trade
They
sell the banana fritters, prawn fritters and laksa
Coconut
drinks and black seaweed drink
The
hard times need some adjustments
As
long as it is an honest work
Nothing
to be ashame about
The
progress will be slow
Even
starting small
It is
still an honest living
It is
still better than doing nothing
In
the economy of slow returns
