The triad gangs

They live for short fuse of life

Intimidation and protection

Drugs distributions, murders

Illegal gambling, loans sharking

They realise there are needs to be had

They go out to keep the police busy

As I heard the story years ago

“Without us the police will have nothing to do

We are the ones keep them running on their toes

We make the police look so useful and important!”

Those were the years when the gangs dare to fight the police

In groups or individual to pursue a freedom chosen

The police always won the event when the dust settled

The gangs would be apprehended or shot dead

As with all gangs in history

When there is a vacuum of leadership

A leader will appear to take over the mantle

The heydays of the triads will return

Under a new leader and his sidekicks

The police can't eradicate them

The gangs will keep the police busy

And the public will keep worrying

The triad gangs in our midst

When jobs are scarce

When opportunities are limited

It makes it easy to recruit members

The fast track of getting wealth

Through fear and intimidation

And the police will keep hunting

The public will keep worrying

As long as we have good and bad

Running through the maze
