The gold miner
Dig up the
mother lode
The glint in his
eyes
The smile on his
face
It says it all
The riches in
his hands
He can write his
freedom
He can play his
games
But he never
counts
Greed will get
him in
Under the spot
light
He thinks he is
right
Slowly the
ground breakaway
He falls through
crying in pain
The rain falls
heavily
In time the
flooding in the mine
He gets stuck he
sees no way out
He prays hard
for help
In the echo he
hears only his sound
There is nobody
to knock the mine
He is alone to
atone for his mind
