we mustn't lose hope and faith

 

The retrenchment or lay off

A company will do it to survive

It has nothing to do with racial policy

It is a business deal to stay afloat

The workers shouldn't feel slighted

Feel sorry and cry and even shout

Let the frustration come out

Then stay focus because life still moving

There will be financial woes

Without jobs to sustain a living

Don't swallow with sorrow

Nobody owes us a living but ourselves

Once I managed a company

The economy was bad and business was slow

I promised the staff I wasn't going to lay off any one

I wanted them to stay and focus on living

Losing jobs are inevitable

In any economic downturn

Now with Covid 19 rising the chart

We are living in a hard time

We have to evolve to change

Else we will be dead in the water

Leaving a trail of unfulfilled dreams and needs

We mustn't lose hope and faith
