the red shirts tell

Bangkok, protest United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) by Mistifarang
Bangkok red shirts protest (UDD) by Mistifarang from flickr

The red shirts
The bodies painted red
Waving red flags
Asking the Thai government to go

For weeks the Thais demonstrated
The way the opponent did
Staging coordinated protests
The Thai government couldn't escape

Pattaya red waves blocked
On the sea the waves roaring loudly
The police couldn't control the crowd
Emergency rule finally declared

The red shirts showed us
United in common belief
One could do many
Even bring down the government
Peacefully through protests

We are a peaceful nation
United in common approach far off target
This is why Bee Anne used it to its advantage
We don't understand ourselves

Waterloo 13
It is the one we would approach
Committed to change
It has to happen
Else we don't criticize any more
