the birdies tweet loudly

The birdies grown
Flapping wings jumping high and low
In the cage showing off antics
Tweeting away calling for food

Now the birdies learn
Picking up food in the cage
Eyes wondering surveying surrounding
As the day passes new skills acquired

The eagerness to fly
Wings stretched getting ready to go
Eyes looking upwards
As if there is a hole

A week ago one managed to get through
Out of the cage clinging on the palm leaves
I managed to catch it put in the cage
The birdie wasn't ready to fly away

Now the scene is different
These birdies gearing up to fly away
The open space and the plenty of food
It is the dream the birdies wanted to go

The days are numbered for my observation
Time I have to let the birdies fly
The tweeting becoming louder
As the birdies mature time for the open space
