the fortune changes 2

“Now you understood
At one time you weren't
You looked down on us
You were our brother
You forgot your roots

You have tasted the difference
Of ownership in your life
You can't say you like it there
You wish you have a better home

We can help you to escape
Join us and be merry on the streets
You can roam free without master
You can live as you like and be free

We have the experience
Dodging against officials
They come with truck
Hula hoop us into its nets

We always escape
We have friends around
What say you?
You have everything to gain!”

The 2 black dogs raise their eyes
Smelling the freedom in their minds
“Tell us how to escape?
We are chained here”

“Chain cutter!
It's your time to play the game”
A small dog runs along
“Somebody calling me?”

“Free the black dogs
They have suffered enough
Let them be free
And enjoy freedom in flight”

The little dog enters
From the hole between walls
He walks in with tail wagging
Smelling the dirty place

“It stinks you know
I wonder how you lived like this
It's time you are free
It's my job to get it done

The 2 black dogs
They can't believe they still have friends
Amongst the canine families
They have made enemies

“Why are you doing this?
We haven't been good to you
We were walking proud years ago
Now you still come to help us?”

“We are family aren't we?
We are of the same family groups
We know you are proud
We also know you will learn

You have suffered enough
In the hands of this new owner
I wonder why you don't bite him?
At least show him you can't be bullied!”

“We have our rules
Trained to obey command
Trained to take the punishment
Trained to suffer in silence”

“Isn't it so stupid?
You are willing to suffer in silence
And let the owner goes free?
Where is your dignity?

My friends you should wake up
Maybe you thought you have a home
Though it isn't what you got last time
With the shit hole in it, it's better you are free!”

The chain cutter slowly cutting the chains away
Little by little the little dog manages to get it done
Now the 2 black dogs are free to escape
Through the back door jumping on boxes over the fence

The 2 black dogs stop and stare at the house
They had suffered enough in this hell hole
Now it is time to go and enjoy its freedom
Amongst the street canines as friends

So they roam the streets
Back of the alleys
Scavenging for food
Leaving in empty houses

The black dogs become the strays
For a while they were afraid of fortune changes
As they got used to the life on the streets
The black dogs joined the pack of running dogs

The black dogs relearned a trade
Something raw and unforgiven to stay alive
They showed their temper and pride
Pushing themselves to be the kings of the dogs

For months they roamed the streets
Going after rubbish bins and garbage tanks
In the morning sometimes in the night
They went for it scavenging what they could find

Life isn't a bed of roses
What they used to slowly fading in its mind
They have to live the way to fend for themselves
In the pack running on the streets

Sometimes the dog catchers arrive
Chasing after them they run for their lives
One day the chain cutter isn't lucky
The dog catchers catch it in their net

The small dog barks loudly
Struggling in the net to get free
The 2 black dogs hear about it
They come charging at the dog catchers

The dog catchers abandon it
They run for their lives too
The 2 black dogs bite the netting
The small dog runs away with tails between its legs

“Thank you guys for saving my life
I thought I am goner in the net
I appreciate your help..........”
“We better hide quickly”

The dog catchers recover
They come looking for the stray dogs
By then the dogs all have disappeared
The dog catchers search for them in vain

The sky turns cloudy
Then suddenly torrential rain
The dog catches run and get wet
They curse as they run to their van

The 2 black dogs peep
From their hiding place in the abandoned house
“Lucky for us it rains heavily
Else they will come here”

The little dog aka chain cutter barks
“What's that for little dog?
You aren't attracting them here are you?”
“No....I thought I saw a snake!”

“We better move
We don't want to attract attention
Let's go every one
Run in the rain”

The dog catchers see them
“Look the dogs!
They are running away”
“Let them run for today”

The dog catchers start the van
They drive slowly looking at the disappearing shadows
“We will catch those big black dogs
They may worth some money”

“Yeah I think so
They look they are well trained breeds
Why the owner let them go?”
“You asking me?”

“You trained dogs
So you must have known”
“They are stray dogs”
“Because they on on the streets?”

They drive away
Cursing the rain
“We will catch them next trip
Now we have some stray dogs in cages”

A year has passed
The 2 black dogs and friends bonded
Some passed away through accidents
Others through the dog catchers

The sky turns shining blue and white
The 2 black dogs walk around the neighborhood
They see their former owner watering his garden
They bark at him the guy turns around to see
