just pretend to be still statues
They
just don't want to go
The
sound of footsteps
It
rings in the silent night
The

trespassers

the garden not of its own
The
cat jumps away quickly
The
kitten runs to hide
In

cat meows for its kitten
Slowly
the sound disappears

shadows into darkness
