stray black kitten
Across
the street in neighbour's house
The
loud meowing in late evening
Nobody
took notice of it
It
stayed around the Malay family
Inside
the compound occasionally outside the gate
When
the neighbour's son came in his motorcycle
The
stray black kitten ran behind the gate
There
was silent for a while
Then
the meowing kept going
By
night fall nobody could see it
The
kitten was alone...
I
saw the black mother cat yesterday
Sleeping
in the neighbour's house across the street
Under
the window enjoying her afternoon nap
There
was no black kitten there
The
stray kitten ran to my porch
Meowing
loudly for all to hear
Gave
the kitten some cat food
There
was silent maybe gone away
The
stray cats in the neighbourhood
Some
people aren't responsible
Keeping
cats without care
Leaving
them running into stray
