the race

rabbit and turtle
The
rabbit runs so fast
He
thinks he will win
He
can afford to take a nap
A
smile on his face as he snoozes
He
dreams of his trophy
The
adulation in his head
When
he wakes up
He
realizes the turtle crosses the line
He
is left far behind
He
cries for his arrogance
The
blue ship will face the truth
The
stormy wave will take her down
Into
the deepest of the ocean floor
She
will lie in sleep until treasure hunters arrive
The
wind blowing in different direction
It
signals the end for the blue ship
Though
the Captain and his crew ignore it
They
will realize it when they see the stormy wave
