A VVIP prisoner
Sitting in his cell
Counting for his release
He has to stay put
Corruption big or small
The punishment must be severe
The prisoner is spared the cane
Because of his age
Yet in years in cell
He hasn't shown his remorse
He hasn't returned the money stolen
The authority doesn't seek for it
He still plays his game of innocence
When the papers trail caught him good
His followers still don't wake up
Because of past connection in projects
Karma will stick him like glue
His cases will not end any time soon
The cases can drag on but crime still has to pay
No matter the time or age
