the draconian laws sing

The draconian laws

It sings in the open

It is as proud as the peacock

Flashing its wings of rainbow colors

Renaissance man gets blinded

With its flashes of neon lights

He can't hear his spoken promises

As if he isn't on the campaigns last

He has forgotten his black eye

Power absolutely corrupts the mind

Is he going that way?

He has to hurry with his age

The draconian laws

The lawmakers are blinded

They forget they can be caught

With the laws they refuse to change
