a change has arrived

  • Today Malaysians decide
    Mar 8, 08 8:08am
  • updated 4.10pm
  • As of 3pm, about 58 percent
  • of Malaysia's 10.9 million registered voters
  • had cast their ballots, said the Election Commission. Borrowed from Malayiakini
Dark clouds and the rain
I sit with my notebook to think
What is the omen?
Of the country so dear to me

It shouldn’t be about race
Many races have history on the land
Beginning now on the land of birth
Political parties tend to divide and rule
Branding race is the calling card
Do you hear them sing about Malaysians?

It is so sad after 50 long years
Race relation is still on thin line
It shouldn’t happen in the land of many races
It has to be Malaysia for Malaysians

The country’s wealth must be shared by all
Nobody should be left behind when progress arrives
Let nobody be marginalized in the country march to progress
Let we sing our praises into the world……
Malaysia land of many races, cultures and believes

There is still hope yet
In this land called Malaysia
For today the people go to vote
The direction the country will go

The dark clouds still hanging in the sky
What is the omen?
A few days ago red color appeared
Telling something we don’t know?
A change has arrived
