The darkest hour people wanted to forget
The black spot in the country’s history
Of politicians and parties
The losers couldn’t take it
The winners wanted to celebrate
Touting the wishes of many
The backlashes of the losers
It ruined the harmonious existence
Of the multi-racial people
The horning of victories marches
The eagerness to show the triumph
In a way the losers couldn’t take it
The mental illness erupted blood sunk the ground
The politicians and parties
Forgot about racial harmony
Gunshots in the darkness
People used arms to patrol housing areas
Eyes always on the look out
On the bad elements on the opportunities abound
On May 13, 1969
At least a thousand died
They forgot they were Malaysians
The Police, the Army and the people
Locked horns many perished that day
It was a sad history
Nobody wanted to go in again
The politicians and parties
Make this country proud with her heritage
Of the harmonious living many races
Stitched together in one vision
Malaysia is the home of many
39 years of history
The black spot in the country’s streets
Politicians and parties
Don’t think on the narrow minded issues
This is the country
All races should live happily
