Did some renovation years ago
Changed the facade
Created steps dangerous to older people
Walking up and down the steps
Once you misstep it
You will see yourself tumbling down
Poor Humpty Dumpy will sit and cry
Knowing what a silly way to go
Losing brakes and all
Inside the old paint never scrapped off
The contractor painted on it
Wasting money for poor workmanship
I don't know how the post master takes it
Space crowded
When many people arrive
Though now air-conditioned it
At least you don't feel so hot
Waiting for your turn

Nothing new after all
