The little humming birds
The noises they tweet
Seeing the parenting birds
Feeding them by the bird cage

It has been 14 days
Growing up with body changes
Feathers are well formed now
Tails are growing flying easy

There are still little birds
Finding insects will take time
In the cage
Until it is fully grown

Spraying water
Wet on their feathers
The little birdies will not tweet
As much as on dry feathers

They keep quiet
Even humans passing by
It's just to say
“Look I am not well groomed yet!”

So I now watch
Behind the darkened glass sliding doors
Studying what they will be doing
The way they see food delivered
