Thieves and robbers
They don't operate at night
They have changed
They moved with times
Once we were schooled
At the young age of the night
Locked up doors and windows
Not about mosquitoes
It was about thieves and robbers
They came in the night....
A time many fell asleep
Dreaming of the world
In the day time
Some came with a lorry
Looted the household goods
Neighbors thought moving house
They came as plumbers
They worked as electricians
They didn't come as sales men
They knew people will close doors
Else they came as what they were
Thieves and robbers in broad day light
They knew about the houses
The owners all came home late at night
Thieves and robbers
They dare to rob at day light
The neighbors all away to work
Leaving the children
The police all the excuses
Patrolling around neighborhood
Lack of personnel and vehicles
Leaving thieves and robbers free
