When
the heavy wind blew
In
the wee hours of the morning
When
there was heavy downpour
The
silence woke the sleepy head
The
roof tiles drumming
Running
into beats of its own
The
strong wind played its rhythm
In
the dark of the morning light
The
streets light glowed
Leading
all the way to the beach
The
rising tide came to watch
Creeping
into the back alley
It
sung its fury
Of
the dark morning light
The
mind got up in high gear
Listening
for any awful sound
When
morning light came
The
high tide got its way
It
flooded the garden and back alley
The
stray cats ran leaving the snakes to worry
