The
winding road
Going
down from Cameron Highlands
The
early evening rain
The
falling mud from the slopes
The
proton iswara
It
crossed the thick mudslides
On
the road going down hill
The
wheels got stuck in the mud
The
evening drizzle
The
car tried to reverse
Nothing
could get it going
The
mud about 1 foot deep
The
women walked out
Finding
means to get the car moving
Nothing
could do it reversing
By
now the traffic stalled
The
tourist bus driver
He
didn't help he couldn't drive through
He
was afraid to get wet in the drizzling rain
The
passengers too sat watching the women trying
Some
came out to get cigarette puffs
Nobody
seemed eager to give a hand
For
a car which got stuck in the mud
The
spirit of helpfulness never arrived
A
Malay driver with a 5 ton lorry
He
and his friend came to help
The
bus driver finally gave his towing rope
The
lorry driver managed to pull the car to safety
Where
have our Malaysian values gone?
In
time of distress they were worried about getting wet
Give
a helping hand seems million miles away
What
goes around will come around
p/s a story told
