The
grey and white spotted cat
Once
she was at the empty house
Sleeping
alone paws curled into her body
The
world could go she just didn't bother
The
falling leaves on the porch
The
non-human activities served her good
She
could laze there for hours
Nobody
not even the black dogs would chase
Then
she moved to the empty lot
The
new owner wanted to build his house
The
piling up sand she could sit around
High
above the ground she watched
Before
long she came over
In
the day hiding under the car
Snoozing
away in her life
The
paradise garden she thought she had
Of
course she would sneak in
When
nobody was in the house
Hiding
behind the back of the garden
Sleeping
on the ledge the world in her eyes
