It isn't hit and run escapees

There is a cause

There is the effect

There is power

There is money

But the scandals in the nation

It brings us shame

We never know how to explain

For the lies we hear answers in the air

The main players aren't investigated

The police go the round about way

Calling the opposition; calling the whistle-blowers

Yet the main actors dining in fine restaurants

Flash bulbs smiling faces

The entourage moves along

The answers they say

“Blowing in the wind”
