The
Bugis warrior
On
the sea shouting his bravery
Only
the fishes sometimes crocodiles hear
Showing
the thousand ripples on the water
The
reflection he can see
The
action of his words to the sea
The
echo flows to his ears
The
wind whirring him to go
“Don't
anchor on land
The
bounty hunters wait
The
prize on a life time
The
opportunity to strike rich”
The
Bugis warrior curses
The
mumbling words flow to the air
Nobody
wants to hear his words
He
knows his lies carrying no weight
The
schooner sails
Along
the calm sea
Seagulls
cacking noises
As
it nears an isolated island
“Don't
anchor on land
The
bounty hunters wait
The
prize of a life time
The
opportunity to strike rich”
