The
outsiders
They
write and tell us
What's
wrong in our nation?
If
only we come to it
The
PR machinery swings in
They
try to discredit it
Painting
the sky cloudy
Telling
us don't believe the stories
But
the truth never sing
The
ministers keep quiet
Even
they may have known
The
truth in their minds
They
try to show in unity
The
cohesion in their efforts
But
we know it isn't true
They
have something to hide
The
outsiders never know
How
we work and our cultures
Maybe
they can fool the rural follks
But
town and city folks we know better
The
devil woman on the rise
In
the corridor of shadows and back doors
The
big red eyes glowing in the dark
And
she smiles so sweetly
“Believe
me children
I
tell you the truth
In
the ground where I lay
I
listen to your woes”
But
is she?
She
wants to eat her cake
She
isn't going to share
So
we better wake up
