Death
in the mining pond
The
carelessness of a man
He
wanted to do his private business
Squating
near the edge of ex-mining pool
The
edge was slippery
He
didn't get a foothole
He
slipped right into the mining pond
Dragging
him into the dark hollow
A
nearby man tried to help him
Throwing
him a bamboo stick to hold
The
drowning man couldn't grab it
It
was panic seeing his life sinking in
The
mining pond has claimed a few lives
Through
the years lives had been lost
The
stories of committed suicides
The
stories of men going hook and fish
It
is a dead end
The
resting souls of people died
The
hungry souls shouting for release
In
the darkness of water to get free
The
man died*
He
wasn't saved
Though
help was there
His
life just slipped away
The
age old saying
Say
a few words of asking the spirits
In
places of bad karma or in jungle
Before
a person wants to do anything
* it is a secondary story told to me
