The cats and the
dogs
They don’t see eye
to eye
Sometimes they may
Most times the dogs
chase
The cats will run
Jump over the
fences
Puffing hard in
their chests
“We escape!”
The dogs will sniff
Wagging tails
hoping to get in
The dogs will fail
The walls stop them
In the safe
compound
The cats may show
colours
They aren’t afraid
of the dogs
They tempt their
fate
The cats and dogs
Sometimes they are
friends
Sometimes they stay
alert
Most times the dogs
chase
Running and barking
Wagging tails as if
to show friendliness
It isn’t what we
think
It’s the hunt to
inflict injuries
