The poor dogs and cats
Finding ways to avoid the big bang
Causing the animals the fear
The cats hide; the dogs bark non-stop
The fire crackers hit the sky
The piercing sound cause the dogs and cats
Fear showing in their eyes
As if hearing the sound of guns
My 2 home cats living at the compound
They run for their lives in seconds
One cat will disappear for days
One will disappear to neighbor's house
Even calling them will fall on deaf ears
The cats will not appear fearing for their lives
The fear in their eyes will tell their distress
Yet the fire crackers will light up the sound
