POWER PLAY IN A CHILD

Greed plays the downfall to many. Greed of power. Greed of wealth. Greed of lusts. Greed of love. Greed of religion. Greed of lies........................and the list goes on and on. Every day there is someone falling prey to greed. Even in parenting, there are elements of it involved to discipline a child. Score straight A's get a computer or something the child wants. In this way a child learns of the power game of getting what a child needs. What ills the society and country is in the progressive methods of parenting in a child. When a child grows up, he/she will know the greed of power. Like crying of a child. A mother or father will quickly come to a child aid. Parents who dot their children will recognize it perfectly. The children know the weaknesses of their parents. In this way crying equals support or receiving goodies. Of course if parents ignore it first, a child will wail for a while hoping the parents will come but if they dont come, a child recognizes his/her trick won't work. Here the parents must be prepared for a child new tricks. In the early stages of a child development, a child has already recognized the greed of power play. What I see a parent should discipline a child on the basic level. The old saying still rings true to me "Spare a rod spoils the child"
