Listen to the children's laughter
Ringing in the garden or in public places
The care free ways lighting up their faces
Running freely sharing their joy
Why it is when they grow up everything changes?
As hardships and wants pressing the adult minds
The children in most of us suddenly disappear
We change ourselves forgetting our roots
The children in our beings gone for good
Our minds locked into 9 to 5 and late at nights
Pursuing wants and satisfaction to get materialistic wealth
We forget our children's footprints building in our past
We hardly smile; we hardly say thank you
We take and take and take along the way
We hardly walk in the rain
We hardly feel the snowflakes falling
We hardly admire the twinkling stars
We hardly sit and watch the beautiful sunsets
What we do most of our times
Rushing out make money wanting a good life
Drilling into children studying hard don't go out playing
The future lies in a good education
And so the young forget how to play
It is good to play young
It brings moments of seeing the past
The sparkles in the eyes remembering games
And the way it was now sharing with the young
The free flowing laughter and children songs
Once a while act like children
We will see a better place in our lives
