Compassion
Most leaders lack
In politics they say
“Get your act”
Federal and State
On people matters they differentiate
Running away as fast as they can
When they make the blunders
They want others to take the rap
Compassion
You don't find many
In the political leaders
All they want
Power projects prosperity
We pay taxes
The Federal government takes all
Leaving the state coffers collecting local taxes
Barely able to pay and run the state administrations
So here we are
The poor and marginalized
Crying for help dragging feet most of times
Leaving them tearful drops
Being used for political mileage
Dumped them when the deed is done
