Though under military rule
Democracy must get going
The youth power prevailed
For nearly 3 weeks
The Egyptians demonstrated
For a new light for the country
They got it finally
Hosni Mubarak stepped down
After 30 years of autocratic rule
Will the army be fair to democracy?
It will be left to be seen
For now the Egyptians rejoice
A new light in their lives
The rebuilding of democracy
Be of hope for many countries
