the belly of the beast

Smokes rise from burning residence in Kesennuma, ...

The day break on the horror
Lying into the harbor of waste and destruction
It lays bare the anger of nature
Lives lost missing in the open seas

The faint hope for many
Trapped beneath rubble and concrete
Burying underground fight for their lives
The magnitude of the massive earthquake

It never came with warning
Under the belly of the beast
It hiccups the Earth trembles
The quiet sea turning chaotic

The formation of the death gripped
The eyes could see its increasing speed
Sweeping all the way hitting the shores
Leaving nothing to defend its onslaught

The whirring wind photographing its destruction
The crying of humans barely able to stand on feet
Thinking of the lost ones perished with nature roar
The others watching with fear and falling tears

The horror that greet the world
The tsunami came with definite destruction
It swept everything under its way
We should blame ourselves bringing own tragedy
