In the darkest hour
Under the crescent moonlit sky
A woman walks alone
After the party at night
Most party goers have gone
She is drunk so she overslept
When she awakes she finds she's alone
In the dark spot she can't remember
She looks at the unfamiliar surrounding
She hears the eerie sound of the night
Along both sides of the road
She finds the graveyards silence
She struggles to find her torch light
She knows she brings it along at night
When she finds it she switches on
There is a small bright glow.....
She checks her bearing
She hasn't got a clue
How she is here?
She has no idea
She walks hurriedly
She no compass to follow
She walks or she runs
The crescent moon just smile
Alone under a tree
She takes her breath
She hasn't run so much in her life
Then she hears the voice
“Hey sister!
Alone in this part of town?
You know what will happen to you?
You have no protector to help”
She tries to listen
She thinks she is imagining
The voice she hears in the night
It can't be true!
“Hey sister!
I am talking to you
Look me up in the sky
You know I am watching”
The woman slowly open her eyes
She finds a woman with kindly face
She thinks she is in good company
Only in the night of the darkest hour
“Who are you?
I am lost in this place”
“I am here to help
To let you forget the light”
The dark angel floats down
Embrace the woman in the night
Slowly she sucks her out of her life
In the darkest hour of the moon light
When day break arrives
The woman is dumped by the road side
Drained of her life sources white as snow
A priest walks by gives her the final rites
“Dust to dust
The life once you were
Now dead on your way
May God help you to enter paradise”
