black caterpillars
They
make the annual return
Once
the hot weather looms
These
pests will crawl into the garden
They
lay eggs in hundreds
Once
the eggs hatched
The
black caterpillars walk
On
the floor tiles and garden
They
want to show
“We
are back!
We
keep you busy
We
keep the pests controllers run”
When
they are squashed
They
give a kind of stinky smell
No
bird will eat it
The
birds will avoid
The
source is at the public area
Full
of tall grasses and bushes
Though
some have been used for planting
The
town council hardly clears the field
The
black caterpillars
The
eggs can lay dormant for months
The
organic chemicals can't destroy them
At
best it keeps them away
