The
leaking in the blue ship
The
storm lashing it hard and severe
The
Captain wakes up from his slumber
“Oh
my God! I am not dreaming!”
He
springs up to action
Running
barefooted and shouting his orders
The
whole ship in eerie silence
The
Captain doesn't hear a response
He
stops to listen with his heart pounding rapidly
“Am
I still in a dream?
Hello
everyone?
The
cabin in dead silence
He
runs down to the engine room
He
sees no shadow but his own
The
lights switch on
Letting
his eyes see the truth
“No
way they abandoned me!
In
this ship I command!”
He
sees the water rising
He
runs the steps to upper deck
He
sees his crew rowing out in the dark
Leaving
him standing alone on the deck
Counting
the minutes
He
knows he will sink with the ship
The
huge waves slam on the deck
The
Captain falls cursing his luck
The
ship tilts over dragging out the sound
The
sailors on the boats know it too
They
may not survive but they have to try
They
see the ship sinking fast
“Sorry
Captain
We
remember you
If
we too survive the storm”
