The old road names
We mustn’t change
as we like
The politicians
must learn history
The old road names
gone for good
Putting up new names
will not help
Some names shouldn’t
be put up
They were the slave
traders or murderers
Why must we honour
these people?
The public realize
these politicians in power
They want to score
their brownie points
Instead of finding
ways to promote the economy
They want to curry
favours and get the needed publicity
In a way the public
isn’t amused with it
The politicians
should wise up now
They will face the
voters in 5 years times
Do something
economically good!
Don’t change the
old road names
We use it for decades
There are still
many new roads erected
Put their names for
these roads
Learn history of the
past contributions
These bygone
persons had contributed much
We shouldn’t want
to forget their stories
We must have our links to the past, remember?
