patience win the game

Now the ego
The top dog position
The 100 meter runners
Running quickly for the glory

The fastest sprint
Hitting the finished line
The heart pumping wild
The clock tells why

In sports arena
The cheering crowd on the stadium
Clapping and shouting, whistling and banners
The winner feels in high heaven

But in politics
Belong to the marathoners
The grit and true determination
Fighting within party to raise the profile

The cuts and slices
The bruises on characters
Politics a dirty game
Learn lessons well

The heart of steel
The skin of rubber
Politics isn't for the softie
It's a long haul transportation

No quick fix desire
It has no place in the scheme of things
Politics bend it like rubber
Patience win in the game
