The
branch chief rebel
Telling
the chairman to go
He
brings shame to the party
Every
one gossips about it
In
the game of politics
The
chairman stays on
The
disciplinary board dares not say
The
minnows are picked and sacked
They
aren't interested in the truth
They
want to hear nothing of it
The
members whisper in the back-rooms
Telling
each other what to do
The
chairman thinks he is untouchable
Every
one he picks will bow to him
He
feels he is the law and all must bow to him
The
truth is they are waiting for him to fall
Walking
on the steps of power
It
is only a temporary flow
The
time will come one has to let go
It
will not stay permanent for long
