The
daylight snatch thieves
They
aren't afraid of the law and police
They
just want to get their fix
They
don't see the troubles ahead
Police
may have pick and choose
Letting
off a wrong signal to the bad
So
they will go out to rob and flee
Believing
the police will close one eye
When
the police can't find clues
The
files will be closed and put in the bins
Leaving
there to gather dust and forget
There
is no urgency to make a point
The
small thieves and robbers
They
only make a nuisance to the police
It
is a mosquitoe case the police will drag the time to solve it
Leaving
a signal the bad hats know how to play
But
the police are watching
Counting
the days to nab the big fishes
Letting
go of the small fry
Watching
for the sharks to emerge
It
will be a while
The
police will stake it out
Leaving
a signal the bad knows best
The
petty thieves and robbers rise
