The
election date
It
will draw nearer each passing day
The
knots in the stomachs
The
politicians will wait
Some
may disappear
Some
may survive
When
the names are released
Who
will contest; who will drop
The
voters have to decide
Get
in the scandals; get in the shame?
Let
the nation coffers sink low?
Let
many laws to zip our minds?
The
cheating games
The
disparity in rural and urban votes banks
Even
the postal votes too come to question
Even
the civil servants are told which party to vote
When
Parliament is dissolved
Most
of the current members of Parliament
They
will have to say their goodbyes
They
may not step into Parliament again
This
is the election
The
country needs it to survive
The
bad hats have to go
Let
the new party take up the challenge
