We have windows in
our homes
We will put
iron-grills and curtains
We want our homes
to have colours
We want to live in
privacy on our own
We don’t want
preying eyes
Running along the
windows
We don’t want to
get our shock
On different faces
and eyes staring at us
We even put up
mosquitoes netting
Blocking out the
pesky insects
We don’t want to
welcome the blood-suckers
We don’t want to
get inflicted with high end diseases
Basically, we want
our privacy
The windows for air
but blanked out curtains
We aren’t the
cavemen and their women slaves
They lived in
freedom sharing their loads
The windows with
curtains
We want our homes
to look good
We want to have our
privacy
For the hours we
stay in our homes
