The years of books

When it was over
Some couldn’t know
what to do
Out in the cold
without any idea
Some went to colleges
and universities
Some learned the
hard facts of living
Cast out to find a
way to stay alive
Jobs or the wayward
living
Facing reality wasn’t
an easy change
Some died couldn’t
take life failures
Leaving their young
faces behind in memory
Some suffered depression
and mental breakdown
Some didn’t have tomorrow
they took what was today
But we always hear
the story
The best life is in
school
There is the free
way
No need to think of
life challenges
