we have our poor in our own backyards

The age of poverty
It depends on places
Cities, towns or villages
Of people earning income

We can hear
The cities poor
The towns dilemma
The villages cross-roads

The study on poverty
It may not paint an accurate picture
But it will jolt us about the poverty
In our own backyards

Nobody can deny it
We have our own poor people
Struggling to live every day
We shouldn’t dismiss it completely

We seem to forget
Passing them or hear of them
Until outsiders question it
Make a report on the poor

This is one of the core values
The leaders elected to tackle it
They shouldn’t dismiss off-hand
We have the poor in our backyards!
