Parasite of a child
On the way to the world
Many years from beginning
Until he is old enough to fly
The sleepless nights
Many months singing in the mind
Trying to feel good in the morning
Aging fast lines appear
All because of a child
The parasite some calling it
The mothers endure
The inconvenieces arise
Putting up smiling faces
As their bodies ballooned
Sizes they try hard to forget
As they eat as much as they need
For the parasites never understand
When the child is born
Until he is nurtured to face the world
The problems, sorrows and tears
Smile and laughter hope and fear
The mother takes it all
Keeping her fingers crossed
As she wills her child will be the best amongst all
Yet in her mind she knows
A child grows he will be on his own
There will be shared thought and friendship
Others don't remember parents
They go and hardly return
Many take the risks
Life will be what it will be
There is no ownership like those before
It is their lives so they take their bow
It is time to let them go
It is time to watch, cry, smile and hope
The children will turn out alright
As the twilight years dim their eyes
When they too become parasites...
