The running dogs

In my neighbourhood 5 dogs
The owners let loose 3 dogs free
Two are tied in the porch …...

Every morning the chained dogs bark
In the early morning before the sun rises
They bark and bark for no apparent reason

One owner in the morning sun
She takes a big stick whacks the dog
“Now you listen don't bark stupid!”

The chained dog lowers tail
Ears drooping eyes casting low
Running hide under a chair....

When the owner is gone
The dog barks again
Lesson never learned

The black dogs running free
Chasing after the motorists
Barking and running along
These dogs think they are kings of the road

The owner sees it
Calling after the black dogs
With a stick and a stare

The black dogs stop
Whining quietly trooping home
They get an earful of scolding

The human dogs
They are one of the worst
It is only for personal gratification

They don't help others
Even people travel far to ask for help
It takes only 3 minutes to listen

But they bark like running dogs
The owner never reprimands
The loose dogs barking without reason

And they tell the people
They do community services
Only on personal gratification
