the mad cartoonists

In the cool night
Yellow lights on the quiet road
The motorists staying away
The night activities somewhere

The teenagers seeking fun
No money to buy bikes
With bicycles they imitate “Mat motorcycles”
On the quiet long stretch road

They speed with pedaling
The faces of imaginary delight
The night wind whirring in their ears
They speed on their bicycles

They think it is harmless
Stressing out in the quiet night road
No proper gears and clothing
They want to be the dare devils

It is better they play
The village games back in their compounds
Marbles, top spinning, flying kites
Catching spiders and fishing

They can't stomach these past times
They want a man's hobby on the road
Speeding like mad cartoonists
Lives at stake they don't see that way
