The
burning sun
The
light burning the naked skin
Walking
out of the car
The
smiling sun hits the brake
The
penetrating rays
It
heats up the open skin
It
doesn't let it go
Until
walking to a shade
Even
the dogs will smell
The
overbearing heat
It
isn't a time to go out
Sometimes
errands need
The
construction workers
They
have used to the heat
Pounding
away in the open
Earning
a living isn't easy
The
relief is walking to a mall
The
cooling towers air conditioned units
It
really cools a person down
Spend
a few hours browsing or walking around
But
the cats will sleep
They
don't have to worry about food
It's
the time to snooze
Let
the sun play its game
The
heat in our lives
It
will not go away as yet
The
weak leaders must go
They
bring broken bridges
