The
cats will thumb noses
On
the humans who feed them
The
cats will show no knowledge
When
the owners meet them outside
The
cats will not remember
When
I walk at the alleys
They
will run away
As
if I am a threat
Though
the cats will come
Waiting
around for their food
They
only recognize the plastic bag
Where
I scoop out for their meals
Once
they have their fills
They
will go away
Until
late evening
When
the cats return
These
are the Ronin cats
They
don't have a master
They
are on their own to hunt for food
The
cats only know me when I feed them
The
cats show no knowledge
When
I pass by the alleys
These
are the Ronin cats
They
live on the streets
