Pledges are a game

Where the powerful wants to play

When it is them in the news

The blame game begins to roll

They don't say it honestly

In fork tongues the words flow

They will say they aren't wrong

They think we are fools!

We aren't swimming in that pool

We aren't going down in its poo

No Sirs we want all to go

Into the loo and stay it long

We don't need the dishonesty

We don't need the lies

We need honesty and accountability

We need integrity

We don't need the pledges

It is just a game the powerful play
