no petrol hike yet

Yesterday there was a rumour about petrol hike. Many car owners queued up at the petrol station to pump gas. I had commented months ago that the petrol hike could be $0.30 more per litre. Apparently yesterday rumour was an increase of $0.40 more per litre. Today nothing at all. So it was just rumoured. I doubt the sleeping beauty will increase the petrol price. My take should be after Chinese New Year. Perhaps in March....................but then many expect the election will be held. Today highlights in the advertisement in The Star stated that the GE will be held in March 08. This is just rumour. The Royal Commission Report will be submitted in March. The corridor projects must take flight so that the good feeling for the working population will help the BN go retain its share of the electorate votes. The Indian issues have not settled yet. The various state governments are tasked to make the feel good factor creeps in so that the votes will come. Last year it was quite a bashing for the government towards the last quarter of the year. I have the feeling the election could be held in August...........if not it will be March 2009 which means the sleeping beauty will sleep through the term of office. There is no reason for the election this year. It is the year to cut and paste to make the people feeling good. The first one will be the national car Proton Saga pricing something below $35,000/- for a 1.3cc saloon car. I think it has created a buzz in the market place and the other is the juicy tale of a senior politician in MCA caught in sexual romps in DVD distributed in Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat and Johore Baru. The MCA president didnt want to comment on the DVD tape circulation( The Star and Malaysiakini)
