Dr Chua Soi Lek resigns

Dr Chua Soi Lek came clean with his resignation as Health Minister, party vice president and member of parliament. He is a gentleman to admit his mistake outside marriage. It isnt easy to come to his reasoning. He values his family and his party first than for himself. In a way he doesnt want to tarnish the bad publicity further. He read the sentiments of the people wrong. He is a public figure who must show 'sinless' in everything he is doing. It isnt easy mind you....when every act or statements will be scrutinized by the public. He admitted his mistake but the people who were interviewed wanted him to resign. Now the police has to investigate the hotel for intruding people's privacy by installing CCTV cameras in the suite room. This is wrong. Now I wonder how many hotels are doing it in their suite rooms (Junior suite, VIP suite, President suite, family suite................) A few years ago I read about a Taiwanese product which could film any act in the room by installing a wireless tiny small gadget in the room. It is very small gadget that the couple would not see it. The peeping tom can just record it in his car around the hotel surrounding. It happened in Hong Kong hotel about a couple who was filmed in this way. There are other leaders who refused to resign............thinking there are no tapes to link them. Public figures or leaders must demonstrate utmost high standard of role models for others to copy. When one falls, he/she must go quickly. Let there be less publicity and let the shamed person has his/her way to 'recuperate' the ordeal. So I wish Dr Chua a happy retirement in politics. Maybe he should go back to his private practice since he is a medical doctor. Now who will replace him? I suggest Dr Ng Yen Yen who is a medical doctor. It looks so silly to appoint a non medical person to head the Ministry of Health. What does he/she know about medicine or first aid or how to give proper advice in medical terms?
